Trim or clip sections from larger movies. | | Creating a Movie From a Still Image or Image Sequence and an Audio File You can create a movie from a single still image or from a numeric sequence of still images. Fx Joiner and Splitter will detect and load image sequences if the first or last character in the file name are numerical and there is at least one more files with the same name and an incremented number. In other words, frame1.bmp will be detected as a sequence so long as there is a frame2.bmp. Detection stops when the next number in the sequence doesn't exist. When an image sequence is detected the wizard will load and display a list of all the files in the sequence. The duration of the new movie will be based upon the television standard that you select, 29 FPS for NTSC and 25 FPS for PAL. 
If no sequence is detected you must enter the duration of your new movie. A number of duplicate frames will then be created based upon the television standard that you select, 29 FPS for NTSC and 25 FPS for PAL. 
Output file properties can be modified to specify the compression codec, the width and height and, in the case of AVI formats, the color depth. 
If you have a free, 30 day trial version of Fx Joiner and Splitter you will not be able to set MPEG codecs for Super Video CD, MPEG-2 or DVD because these technologies are licensed, fee based and patented. As a result, we cannot offer a free trial version that includes these technologies. 
When saving an AVI file you will be presented with a list of the codecs installed on your computer. What codecs you have installed will probably vary from the list shown below. 
The AVI codec is responsible for the size and quality of your finished movie. Some codecs have additional properties that can be set using the Configure button as shown above. The additional properties can vary dramatically in appearance and function as can the results.
